Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is my data safe?

A. Your data is stored only in your browser's localStorage. Nothing is ever sent to a server — it's completely private.

Q. Can I enter past sales too?

A. Yes. Enter a past date in the sale-date field to backfill records. They'll automatically show up in your monthly and yearly reports.

Q. How many records can I save?

A. It depends on your browser's storage limit, but it's been tested working with up to around 10,000 records. If you're approaching the limit, we recommend exporting a CSV backup.

Q. Can I sync across multiple devices?

A. No — since data is stored locally, there is no sync. Use the CSV export feature to move your data to another device.

Q. Is this Japan's ¥200,000 threshold, or my home country's tax rules?

A. This ¥200,000 figure is Japan's national tax-filing (kakutei shinkoku) guideline for side-income earners — it does not reflect your home country's tax rules. If you're a tax resident of Japan and your side-income profit exceeds ¥200,000 in a calendar year, you generally need to file a Japanese tax return. CSV export works with accounting software, but separate compliant record-keeping may be required — please check with a licensed tax accountant (zeirishi) for your situation.

Q. Can I change my goal?

A. Yes, anytime — from the "This Month's Goal Progress" section or the Settings tab. Each month saves its own goal.

Q. How do I see the annual report?

A. Select "Yearly" from the toggle at the top of the Report tab. You'll see a 12-month grid, a profit trend chart, and your tax-filing status.

Q. Can I change the seasonal theme?

A. It switches automatically based on the month (Spring: Mar–May, Summer: Jun–Aug, Autumn: Sep–Nov, Winter: Dec–Feb). There's no manual override.
